The Board is a company limited by guarantee and comprises four staff members and a Board of Directors. County & City Enterprise Boards are funded under Ireland's EU Structural Funds Programme 2007-2013, with funding from the Exchequer and the European Regional Development Fund. We employ a staff of up to four persons based in our office in Clonakilty which is overseen by a Board of Directors who meet regularly thourhgout the year.
West Cork has a strong and successful small business sector. Our goal is to ensure the continued growth and success of micro enterprises in the region under four main strategies:
The Board operates within a highly regulated environment. The affairs of the Board are audited annually by the Comptroller and Auditor General and final accounts are laid before the House of Oireachtas. An Audit Committee of the Board examines various aspects of the operations of the Board. Our accounts are available from the Companies Registration Office. www.cro.ie
The Board is ISO 9001 approved.
