The keynote speaker at the event was Therese Ryan, Renewal Consultants. Therese is well known for the work she does with clients in the area of time management and getting a work/life balance. She promised the women that at the end of the morning, they would have met with three new women in business and would have three new tools to change their time management. This promise was realized as those in attendance commented on the new contacts they made as well as ways in which they were going to change the management of their time on a daily basis, both at work and at home.
There seems to be a large appetite amongst women in business for networking at the moment. During challenging economic times, it’s great to see women with such enthusiasm and motivation on a Monday morning to come out from their daily Monday work routine, to the beautiful setting of Inchydoney to network, exchange business ideas and information and meet other like minded women in business, while creating new business contacts.
Speaking at the event, Christine Heffernan, Training Co-Ordinator with the West Cork Enterprise Board commented: “We are delighted with the large attendance here today. Networking can be of enormous benefit to a business and it’s at forums like this that women in business can develop new business opportunities. Women in business in West Cork are very enthusiastic about networking and we are committed to and are looking forward to running additional women in business networking events throughout the year”.
Therese Ryan has featured on programmes such as RTE’s ‘Health Of The Nation’, ‘How Long Will You Live’ and TV3’s ‘Morning Show’. She is an engaging and motivational speaker whose informative and practical approach ensures participants leave with time management tools that they can immediately implement into their daily work and home routines. She is a firm believer in this approach stating, ‘If it does not make sense, you are not going to incorporate any new changes, so we have to demystify time management tools and keep it simple’.
Her business, Renewal Consultants, which is based in Cork, enables individuals and organisations to create positive changes which result in improved individual and team motivation, work enjoyment and performance.
