Client Charter

Objective

The objective of the West Cork Enterprise Board Ltd. is to discharge the duties entrusted to it by the Minister for the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment in an efficient and professional manner at the lowest possible cost to the public, while always recognising the right of the customer to a prompt and courteous service.

When dealing with the West Cork Enterprise Board, the staff will seek to ensure an efficient and satisfactory service. In fulfilling its Client Charter, the West Cork Enterprise Board aims to:-

Courtesy and Helpfulness
  • Ensure that in all customer contact with the West Cork Enterprise Board - be it in person by telephone or by correspondence - the customer is at all times dealt with by the staff of the Board in a courteous and helpful manner
  • Guarantee that the customer will be given the Officer's names with whom the customer is dealing with
    Direct the customer to the appropriate Officer dealing with the customer's enquiry
Information
  • Ensure that the customer will be given full and accurate information in relation to any query that may be raised by the customer
Efficiency
  • Ensure that all queries are dealt with in a speedy and efficient manner, while recognising the need to keep to a minimum, any cost that may occur arising from the enquiry under investigation
Privacy and Confidentiality
  • Ensure that all information, both personal and business, provided by the customer be dealt with in total confidence and in a manner which respects the dignity of the customer
    Redress
  • Ensure that any legitimate complaint regarding;

    a. improper administration of the functions entrusted to the West Cork Enterprise Board
    OR
    b. the manner in which an enquiry is processed

    be dealt with speedily and sympathetically. If the matter is not capable of being resolved to the customers satisfaction by the Officers of the Board, the customer can approach the Ombudsman's office or ultimately, the customer may have rights in law to an independent review. It is the aim of the West Cork Enterprise Board Ltd to ensure that all legitimate complaints are dealt with fairly and speedily.
