The Board, in accordance with current Government Policy, can consider applications for financial assistance from new start-up or expanding businesses (employing less than 10) involved in manufacturing, internationally traded services, or those that the potential for international trade innovative local services not already being provided businesses operating within our catchment area of West Cork. (West of Innishannon, South of Kilmichael to the Beara Peninsula).

The following are the various Grants that are available under the Board (subject to availability of Budget/funding)
The Board will consider applications for feasibility study grants towards the development of innovative product / service ideas not already in the marketplace, where the promoter has already conducted extensive market research into the idea, but assistance is required to move the concept nearer to market readiness, and work is required to further develop the product / service prototype or delivery and it is expected that it will be market ready in less than 12 months. Up to 50% of the cost of undertaking a feasibility study on an innovative new product or service may be considered subject to a maximum of €20,000. Each application must be accompanied by a Current Business Plan with Projected / Historial Financials, Quotations for all Items of Expenditure and a Completed Application form. Other details required inlcude a Tax Clearance Certificate.
