Business Information & Advice Service

We provide free Business Information from our offices on Kent Street in Clonakilty. Staff can provide you with information on how best to go about starting your own business in West Cork or growing your existing business. 

Please note that for very specific Legal, Tax or Accounts queries we would refer you on to the relevent expert or ask that you avail of one of our many training programmes.

We provide general business advice on all aspects of setting up and managing a small business, including:

• Steps involved in setting up a new business in Cork
• Writing your business plan  
• Starting off and Registering your business name 
• Choosing a suitable business structure
• Marketing & Sales advice
• Funding & Finance Advice
• Other general Advice on establishing and running your Business

The Board also provide a range of training supports on starting your own business to enable you to get the best advice information and training and allow you to make the correct decision about self employment and being the boss.

We can also provide you with a referral to other bodies/state agencies who may be able to assist where we are not in a postiion to.
