Seafood Business Development Programme 2010

The West Cork Enterprise Board in conjunction with BIM (Bord Iascaigh Mhara) are running this innovative programme for West Cork companies seeking to add value, in the seafood sector.  Expressions of interest are now being sought from interested companies.

Programme Details

• Location: BIM Seafood Development Centre, Clonakilty, Co. Cork
• Dates: 2nd February - 9th November 2010

Programme Format 2010

• 6 half day workshops in Clonakilty including:
  • 2nd February: Business Planning - Strategy and Business Planning
  • 2nd March: Financial Management and Analysis – How to financially control your business
  • 2nd June: Product Development
  • 3rd August: Branding and Marketing
  • 5th October: Packaging & Brand presentation
  • 9th November: Distribution & Awards Ceremony for completion of Programme
• 5 Mentoring sessions:
• In-company facilitated. This is key and will assist you with product development, access to key information, pricing, packaging, Branding Development and sales development.
• Access to Resources and Expertise at the BIM Seafood Development Centre and Marketing Division.
• An Overseas Visit: 1 Tradeshow & 1 Seafood business visit (e.g. EU Seafood Expo, Brussels 27-28th April OR Food & Drink Expo Birmingham, UK 22nd March)

Complete an application form and return it no later than Friday 15th January 2010 to enterprise@wceb.ie Please note that following the completion of an application form, you would meet with the West Cork Enterprise Board, BIM and the Programme Consultants to discuss your application and interest in the programme. Meetings taking place on Monday 18th January to discuss applications.

Programme cost

• €800 per participant - payable in monthly standing order payments throughout the year
